Making Artwork PLAY with Oil Pastel for 30 Paintings in 30 Days, Day 3

"Mind's Eye"    Experimental--Oil Pastel with Acrylic, 5.5 x 5.5"
Opening Bid $40

This one was pure play with my Oil Pastels.  Do you ever want to just see "what would happen if...?" That's what I was doing here.  And full disclosure, this was one of my paint-ahead paintings!

My friend who is new to blogging is having trouble posting to Blogger using her iPhone and/or iPad.  Anyone able to shed any light for me to pass on to her?   The comment section would work or if you prefer to write me privately, here's how to reach me.  Thanks for your help.

And thanks for watching...

It looks so painterly that I was surprised to read that it was pastels.
Did you use a medium on them? Love the shine on the hill!!! Keep playing!!!

No medium. There is some gouache underpainting. Thanks, Carol!

Meredith your painting looks like this mornings sunrise, brilliant color!
Leslie switched to a different forum and it is easier to upload but she said to use a computer because it might not work on an I-Pad or phone. A little more challenging because posting means being at home and sitting down but I do like the easier upload, the way the images stay in the same place and the little check marks that appear when you view an image.

Thanks, Sandra! I'll tell my friend.

Love this painting. Check out Carol McGill, Charleston,SC and tell me what you think there is a similarity.

Hey, Jerry, thanks! I will check her out. Sometime after I paint...:) Got to be disciplined.

I too was fooling around with oil pastels but came up with nothing like this. Looks good. Oh I sent you thinking she just wanted to add to blogger, but she wants to upload to Leslie. I think she needs to load to her blog first and then add to Leslie's that way the photo should appear in the box for her to,check.

Love it Meredith. Colors are splendid and I also like that jewel of light on the hill. Proud of you for participating in the 30 in 30, but with closing the gallery, not having the two boys here any more, health issues and heading south for a break, I just couldn't commit. But love looking at everyone elses work.

I have some oil pastels but haven't tried them yet--this inspires me!
Did your friend figure out the posting to Leslie's site? Taking the photo with the iPad makes it so easy.
